The Next Steps

Our annual fundraising and awareness walk/run that brings the Zahra community together to raise awareness about Domestic Abuse and to raise funds that will support us in providing programs and services to empower women in their recovery journey. Held on the second Sunday in March each year this significant dates honours Zahra Abrahimzadeh birthday and anniversary of her passing.

Changemaker Events

Our Changemaker events set out to equip attendees with tools and skills to become changemakers in their workplaces, community, and families, with motivating guest speakers, and inspirational stories from Zahra participants. South Australian corporate professional, government workers, industry experts and community members have attended a Zahra Changemaker event and received practical advice to change the way their community responds to domestic and financial abuse.

Partner Events

The Zahra Foundation has been selected as a preferred charity and to be a major recipient charity for events hosted by our partners. From annual IWD breakfasts to golf days there are multiple opportunities to hear about the work we do and fundraise to support women accessing our services.

Lotus Gala Ball

These special events celebrating milestones for the Zahra Foundation are Held at the Adelaide Convention Centre our Gala Ball’s reclaims the space by celebrating the empowerment and resilience of the women that the Foundation supports in Zahra’s honour. Guests have the opportunity to listen to guest speakers and participants with lived experience who share their outcomes after receiving support from The Zahra Foundation programs and services.
