HOPE with Rosie Batty AO
The Zahra Foundation is hosting the Adelaide launch of Rosie Batty's new book "Hope" in partnership with The Hawke Centre.
After her 11-year-old son, Luke, was killed by his father in a violent incident in February 2014, Rosie Batty AO became one of Australia's leading advocates for collection action to end family and domestic violence - leading to being named Australian of the Year in 2015.
In launching her new book, Rosie will speak about what happened to her following the worst day of her life and how she reclaimed hope when all hope was lost. She shares her struggles with anxiety, PTSD, self-doubt and self-loathing and how she finally confronted her grief. She shares the stories of those who have inspired her to keep going, and given her hope when she needed it most. And then, in conversation with our CEO Kelly-Ann Tansley, Rosie will discuss what individuals, service organisations and Governments can do to build a future free of violence and abuse.
Join us on Tuesday 28 May at 6pm in the Allan Scott Auditorium at the Bob Hawke Prime Ministerial Centre at UniSA on North Terrace. Don't miss this opportunity to hear Rosie's powerful story firsthand and support The Zahra Foundation
