Women on the Run is back for its ninth year!
Join us on Sunday 17 March to run, walk or stroll a 4km round trip along the Grange to Henley sand in support of women and non-binary people who have experienced domestic or family violence.
By joining Women on the Run and fundraising for the Zahra Foundation you make sure we can continue to empower women and non-binary people who’ve experienced domestic and family violence, to not only rebuild their lives but to thrive personally, socially and financially.
We are hoping to raise $50,000 at this community fundraiser and this will enable us to support 30 women and non-binary people through the process of recovery and along the journey to economic empowerment.
At Zahra Foundation, recovery is at the heart of everything we do.
We work together with women and non-binary people to restore all that has been lost through the experience of control and abuse, helping women and non-binary people to build self-esteem, set boundaries, make decisions, find financial security and feel valued.
However, we can’t do this alone. We’re asking our community to come together, in solidarity, to enable this work to continue and expand.
The day is also a chance to celebrate the life and legacy of Zahra Abrahimzadeh, our namesake, who’s life was taken by her estranged husband at the Adelaide Convention Centre in March 2010.
So, get your friends, family, and colleagues registered and donating for Women on the Run on Sunday 17 March 2023.
We can’t wait to see you there and partner with you as we support women and non-binary people towards recovery and financial independence together.
