Walk for Respect
Walk for RESPECT – in this Peaceful Parade
Saturday 25 November 2023
Since 2018, Rotary in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands have been uniting to build awareness and education programmes to help our community identify, reduce and stop physical Domestic Violence and non-physical Coercive Control offending.
Now it is South Australia’s turn to shine. We would like YOU to participate in a peaceful and non-confrontational Walk for Respect along King William Street, Adelaide, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women – Saturday 25 November 2023. Although, we also all well recognise that Domestic Violence is a major problem for men and children as well.
The walk from Victoria Square to the Pioneer Womens Memorial Garden opposite the Festival Theatre is quite short. But our hope is for the TV and Media cameras to support the campaign.
