Newcastle Changemaker
We’re excited to announce the first event for Zahra Foundation and Jenny’s Place in the Newcastle region. Join us for an evening with significant leaders making a difference for women in our society.
On the evening of Thursday 14 September, join us at City Hall, Hunter Room for some canapes and drinks and hear from our Changemaker expert panel including:
Author, Journalist and TV presenter, Jess Hill
Zahra Foundation NSW Program Coordinator, Natalie Cowper
Jenny’s Place Operations Manager, Stacey Gately
The panel will discuss topics including: coercive control, consent, financial abuse, and family and domestic violence. They will highlight the positive community and social benefits of offering pathways to education, training and employment; economically empowering women and breaking the cycle of violence.
The Zahra Foundation, in conjunction with Jenny’s Place, present this Changemaker event to mobilise members of our community to become Changemakers and raise awareness of Family and Domestic Violence.
As we all work together to close the gender pay gap, advance gender equality and ensure that finances are no barrier to women leaving abusive relationships, this will be an essential event to learn how you can be a part of the solution, as well as raising funds for our vital services and programs.
Be a part of this moving and inspiring event on Thursday September 14.
This promises to be an event not to be missed!
