Pathways to Empowerment Program goes Rural

Zahra Foundation’s Specialist Financial Counselling Service is a free and confidential service for women experiencing financial hardship as a result of domestic and family violence.

The Zahra Foundation congratulates Elkie Hogg for being first over the line, closely followed by Antonietta Livolsi and Luke Evans. All participants carried on their back a backpack with food items for Foodbank and it was an amazing achievement given the sandy conditions of the beach.

The murder of Hannah and her children triggered another national dialogue around domestic and family violence – how many times do we need to have these conversations?
Thank you White Ribbon Breakfast Committee
The Zahra Foundation would like to say thank you to the White Ribbon Breakfast Committee for the recent donation from the sale of the Port Adelaide Football Club ‘White Ribbon’ caps which were sold at the breakfast in November 2019. The funds provided will continue the valuable work of the Zahra Foundation in providing support and services to women and children affected by domestic and family violence.

Open House – Visit from IMPACT 100
The staff of the Zahra Foundation were privileged to welcome members from IMPACT 100 to our Open House. IMPACT 100 provided an initial grant that supported the Zahra Foundation to formally expand their services to support women and their families who have been affected by domestic and family violence.
Credit Union SA announced as Major Sponsor for Women on the Run 2020
The Zahra Foundation are pleased to announce that the Credit Union SA will be the major sponsor for the Zahra Foundation Women on the Run for 2020. The sponsorship will enable to 4km run/walk to be one of Zahra Foundations major fund raising events this year where as a community we will be able to reflect and pay recognition on the 10th anniversary of the tragic death of a brave woman Zahra Abrahimzadeh in March 2010.

Zahra Foundation was pleased that Arman Abrahimzadeh OAM was able to come and open the ‘Cave’ and celebrate festive cheer with clients who came to enjoy cafe style morning tea, share their experiences over the last 12 months and have fun.
